MDC-T Launches Campaign Ahead Of The Extraordinary Congress

The MDC-T led by Thokozani Khupe has intensified preparations for the court-ordered Extra-Ordinary Congress scheduled for 31 July 2020.

The party’s leadership addressed EOC delegates in Mashonaland West, an event that attended by sizeable campaign gathering that was addressed by Acting Party President Dr Khupe, Secretary-General Senator Douglas Mwonzora and Eng Elias Mudzuri, among other party leaders.

Below is a statement issued by the party’s Information Department after the meeting:

The preparations for the MDC-T party’s Extra Ordinary Congress scheduled for 31 July 2020, have gone a gear up as the party’s leadership addressed EOC delegates in Mashonaland West. The landmark event saw the leadership taking turns to address supporters in Chinhoyi.

First to address the crowd was Eng. Elias Mudzuri, followed by Dr. Thokozani Khupe then lastly, but not least, Dr. Douglas T Mwonzora. They all articulated, to a thunderous applause, the developments in the party since the Supreme Court judgement. The process was harmonious in nature and showed the unity existing in the MDC-T leadership.

The founding values of the movement shall be restored and the party is continuing to grow from strength to strength as it prepares itself for the 2023 watershed elections, because it will emerge out of the Extraordinary congress stronger than before, as it’s membership is determined to elect a replacement for Dr. Morgan Richard Tsvangirai, who will provide thought leadership and who will be TOUGHER FOR ZANU PF. With this kind of a thought and dynamic leadership, it is almost certain to predict an outright victory for the party in 2023 plebiscite.
