Zimbabwe has recorded 73 new coronavirus cases bringing the total number of known cases in the country to 698.
The new cases are 55 returnees from South Africa, 3 from Botswana, 3 from Mozambique, 2 from USA and 1 from Zambia as well as 8 local cases.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care indicates that two of the local cases are contacts of known confirmed cases.
The statement also observed that a 21-year-old female who had more additional conditions succumbed to the virus today.
