8 People escaped from Mushagashe Quarantine Center in Masvingo a day before yesterday, The Herald reports. The 8 are part of the 15 people who escaped from quarantine centres countrywide in the past 2 weeks.
This was revealed by Covid-19 provincial taskforce spokesperson Mr Rodgers Irimai who spoke to the publication and named the escapees and said:
Police are hunting for the eight who escaped from Mushagashe on Wednesday, they have activated all systems so that they are tracked and brought back into mandatory quarantine

- Rhumba Chisedza (33) of Masvingo,
- Troy Nkala (25), Chikombedzi
- Professor Moyo (25), Chikombedzi
- Wonderful Hazamwe (23) Chikombedzi,
- Emmanuel Manyame (28) Zaka
- Nyasha Manyanye (23) Zaka
- James Zimwara (28) Charumbira Village in Masvingo
The exact cumulative number of escapees who escaped from quarantine centres countrywide is not known but a few weeks ago the number was edging towards 200.
