"The New Zimbabwe Is Being Built By Zimbabweans," - President Mnangagwa

President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Friday said Zimbabwe has enough human resources to transform the country into a better economy.

He made the remarks following the commissioning of road works underway along the Beitbridge-Harare Highway in Bubi Matebeleland South.

The works are being undertaken by local contractors. Posting on social media, the president said:

Today, we commissioned the upgrading of the Beitbridge – Masvingo – Harare Road; a vital part of the North-South Corridor. Infrastructure is a key driver for progress & growth, trade & tourism.

With skilled local workers leading the engineering, architecture & surveying, the new Zimbabwe is being built by Zimbabweans!

While at the earlier today, Mnangagwa emphasised the importance of upgrading roads in the country to match regional standards.

He speaks when the unemployment rate in the country has ballooned over the years with graduates and small to medium enterprises as well as young entrepreneurs are complaining about the lack of opportunities and support or both.
