I Don’t Think We Will Be Able To Arrange Any Friendly Matches For The Warriors Before November - Kamambo

While visiting Gweru last week, ZIFA president Felton Kamambo said he doesn’t see the warriors playing a friendly match before their AFCON qualifiers match in November, The Standard reports.

Kamambo cited “the situation” prevailing in Zimbabwe as the reason why he was sceptical that there will be friendly matches before November and said:

I doubt if the Warriors will play any friendlies ahead of the November qualifiers considering the situation and also the window period is very near in September.

I don’t think we will be able to arrange any friendly matches for the Warriors, but we will have to make sure that we are at our best in every department.

This means the Warriors’ gaffer Logarusic will have to rely on foreign-based footballers in countries where football has resumed to take on Algeria in November. Meanwhile, ZIFA has provisionally set 20 October as the day the PSL might resume.
