Emirates, Other International Airlines Cancel Durban Flights

Emirates and other international airlines have with immediate effect cancelled flights in and out of Durban, due to COGTA regulations announced this week that treat airline crew the same as passengers.

Flights to and from Johannesburg and Cape Town are also expected to be cancelled.

Since Thursday, October 1st, international travel for leisure and business has been unbanned while leisure travellers from countries deemed high-risk will not be allowed in the country.

Those visiting South Africa are expected to produce a negative COVID-19 test from an accredited laboratory, not older than 72 hours.

South Africa had banned international flights have been banned for almost six months following the outbreak of the coronavirus.
