The ZANU PF DCC polls being conducted this weekend at 1248 polling stations will look for their own ballot boxes because the ruling party is not able to provide all polling stations with ballot boxes, New Zimbabwe reports.
This was revealed in a memo from the ruling part addressed to all districts holding DCC polls that read in part:
All district chairpersons are requested to improvise and make their own ballot boxes at their respective districts. There should be 23 boxes at each polling station. Look for any small cardboard boxes to use
Events leading to the DCC Polls that include violence and or allegation of cheating and irregularities and allegations that members of the G40 were paying people to vote for candidates affiliated to Zanu PF have headlined for the past few weeks. The ruling party even warned party members that they risk getting expelled if they conduct any acts of misconduct during the polls.
