The Zimbabwean Parliament has rebutted reports which say the Deputy President of the Senate, Hon. Lt. General (Rtd) M. R. Nyambuya has died. We present the below a statement by the Acting Clerk of Parliament, Ms Helen B Dingani.
The Acting Clerk of Parliament, Ms Helen B Dingani is aware that there are some malicious social media messages alleging the death of the Deputy President of the Senate, Hon. Lt. General (Rtd) M. R. Nyambuya. Parliament of Zimbabwe would like to inform the nation that Hon. Lt. General (Rtd) Nyambuya is well, alive and in good health. Ms Dingani personally spoke to him this morning.
Parliament of Zimbabwe would like to urge the public to desist from circulating unsubstantiated information as this causes unnecessary anxiety to families of those concerned and the nation at large.
