Mwonzora Pledges To Work With Zanu PF

MDC-T president Douglas Mwonzora on Wednesday pledged to work with the Zanu PF-led government to solve the country’s myriad of challenges, adding that it was no longer time for opposing for the sake of opposition.

Mwonzora was giving a vote of thanks during the launch of the second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination programme in Victoria Falls. He said:

We have changed the way to do things. We now want politics of tolerance and to work together to put the people of Zimbabwe first.

We don’t want politics of hunger, hate and intolerance. As leaders of the opposition, we should work for the betterment of the economy to save our people and also support the vaccination programme.

Mwonzora’s remarks at the Victoria Falls function came just a week after he ordered MDC-T legislators to stop heckling or walking out on Mnangagwa.

The event was presided over by President Emmerson Mnangagwa and attended by his deputy Vice President Constantino Chiwenga and Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri as well as members of the Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD).
