Democratic Opposition Party (DOP) leader Peter Harry Wilson was last  Wednesday involved in a road accident that claimed the life of a 29-year-old woman he was travelling.

The opposition leader is reported to have sustained multiple fractures on his legs while two more passengers himself also sustained serious injuries in the accident.

It is reported that a Toyota Hiace Wilson was driving rammed into a stationary Mercedes Benz truck that had developed a mechanical fault in the middle of the road along the Bulawayo-Plumtree highway.

The 29-year-old Angerster Chigora of Nketa suburb died on the spot and Wilson is now facing a culpable homicide charge.
