Nakamba Starts Again As Aston Villa Beat Chelsea

Zimbabwean international footballer, Marvelous Nakamba started for Aston Villa again Sunday and helped the blue and clarets beat Chelsea in their final Premier League match of the 2020/21 season.

The defensive midfielder anchored with McGinn and played until stoppage time.

Nakamba started for Villa and even made his first assist in the Premier League when they played Tottenham last Wednesday.

Traore put the hosts ahead with his 43rd-minute strike before El Ghazi doubled the lead nine minutes later when he converted a penalty.

Chelsea managed to pull one back through Chilwell’s 70th-minute strike.

Nineteen minutes later, Chelsea were reduced to ten men after their skipper, Caeser Azpilicueta was sent out after reacting to Grealish’s foul by pushing his hand in the face of Villa’s captain.

The result comes after reports that Chelsea faced a possibility of points deduction after being charged for failing to control their players resulting in a brawl during their 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Tuesday.

A Sportsmail source within the FA claimed the threat of a points deduction in relation to Tuesday night’s brawl had no basis of reality and was not true.

However, as it stands, Chelsea have qualified for the Champions League, thanks to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur who thrashed Leicester City 4-2 with Gareth Bale scoring a brace.
