Zimbabwe Medical Association (ZIMA) will on 15 September hold an event at Parirenyatwa Hospital to remember colleagues who died of COVID-19.
The Commemoration will take place at 12 noon. In a brief note about the event, Zima invited Zimbabweans to join in the remembrance by observing a minute of silence and lighting a candle wherever they are.
Several doctors and nurses working on the frontline fell victim to COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic last year. Pindula lists here some of them:
