A 25-year-old Shamva man has been arrested for kidnapping a 4-year-old girl whom he dumped on a nearby mountain after stripping her naked.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) say the accused, Tatenda Amon, left a beer bottle and his hat which were used to identify him. Pindula News presents a police statement on the case:
The ZRP confirms the arrest of Tatenda Amon (25) in connection with a case of kidnapping which occurred at Ratherdale Farm, Shamva on 03/11/21.
The suspect allegedly kidnapped a female juvenile (4) from home and took her to a nearby mountain where he removed the victim’s clothes before dumping her whilst crying. The suspect left his hat and a bottle of beer (green) on the scene which led to his identification.
Meanwhile, the victim was sent to the hospital for a medical examination.
