The Nyaradzo Group has distanced itself from social media messages offering employment and asking prospective employees for payment or suggesting business partnerships with the company’s chief executive officer Philip Mataranyika.
In a public notice, the company warned the public to wary of a United Kingdom phone number, +447361612523 which is impersonating Mataranyika. Nyaradzo Group said in a statement:
There have been misleading messages on social media, typically offering employment, asking for payment for the same, or suggesting business partnerships with the Nyaradzo Group.
We want to disassociate ourselves, the Group CEO, Mr Philip Mataranyika, Management and Staff from such falsehoods.
We would also like to advise members of the public to be wary of a UK number; +447361612523 which is impersonating our GCEO, initiating conversations and typically asking for money transfers.
Please be advised that originating or circulating such falsehoods is a crime of defamatory impersonation, and appropriate legal action will be taken.
