Mnangagwa Replaces Munkuli's Car Burnt By ZANU PF Members

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has fulfilled a pledge he made last week to replace a car belonging to Binga-based ZANU PF central committee member Veronica Munkuli that was burnt by fellow party members.

Munkuli’s vehicle and house were set on fire by party members during intra-party violence.

Speaking to Southern Eye on Tuesday, Munkuli confirmed receiving a new Ford Ranger from Mnangagwa on Monday. She said:

I do not know what to say. I am very excited because I received a new Ford Ranger in Harare yesterday. I am still in Harare and am very happy. I do not know if this new car will be burnt too.

Mnangagwa promised to give Munkuli a new car while addressing a campaign rally at Siabuwa High School in Binga District last Saturday. He said:

I heard Veronica Mnkuli, a central committee member, had her house and vehicle burnt when she was trying to unite ZANU PF leaders in the province.

This is very bad, peace, harmony and unity should prevail in ZANU PF.

Therefore, I have requested Mnkuli to come to Harare on Monday so that I give her a new car.
