The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) Sunday announced that there shall be by-elections in Manyame Rural District Council Wards 1 and 8 following the recall of the incumbent councillors.

Manyame Rural District Council Wards 1 and 8 Vacancies
It is hereby notified in terms of Section 121A of the Electoral Mt [Chapter 2:13], that following the recall of the incumbent councillors for Manyame Rural District Council Wards 1 and 8, vacancies have arisen.
The Nomination Court for purposes of receiving nominations of candidates for election as councillors for the vacant wards shall sit on Friday 8, July 2022 commencing from 1000 hours to 1600 hours.
The nomination court to receive nominations for Manyame Rural District Council Wards 1 and 8 shall sit at the offices of the Manyame Rural District Council, Beatrice. The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission fixes Saturday, 3 September 2022 as the day on which a poll shall take place if it becomes necessary in terms of Section 125(4) (b) of the Electoral Act.
