Econet Wireless Zimbabwe has announced a review of its tariffs with the increase taking effect on the 13th of July 2022. In a notice seen by Pindula News, Econet said voice calls will require ZWL$0.2686 per second starting this Wednesday. Reads the public notice:
Dear Valued Customers,
Please note the following tariffs as per regulatory approval, effective Wednesday 13, July 2022.
Voice – ZWL$0.2686 per second Data – ZWL$2.5522 per MB SMS – ZWL$3.3137 per SMS

-All prices are inclusive of taxes.
The current tariffs are already too high for some.
This is happening as the Zimbabwe dollar has continued to shed value against other currencies on both the official and the parallel markets.
