Harare Plans To Shutdown Morton Jaffray Waterworks

Harare City Council (HCC) has announced plans to shut down Morton Jaffray waterworks and pipelines to Lonchivar and Marimba Reservoirs between 21 and 24 July 2022. In an announcement seen by Pindula News, the local government authority urged people residing in affected areas to use water sparingly during the announced period. Reads the statement:

NOTICE OF A PLANNED PLANT SHUTDOWN AND PIPELINES FROM MORTON JAFFRAY TO LOCHINVAR AND MARIMBA RESERVOIRS

Please be advised that there will be a shutdown of pump station no 1 (Morton Jaffray) and the two lines servicing Lochinvar and Marimba reservoirs from Thursday 21st of July 2022 till the 24th of July 2022. The works are scheduled to start at 1800hrs on the 21 and end at 1800hrs on the 24th.

The affected areas are: Mufakose, Kuwadzana, Glenview, Glen Norah, Parts of Willowvale, Budiriro and other surrounding suburbs.
Our clients in the affected areas are encouraged to use water sparingly during this period.
