Power Outage Update Harare Region

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), a subsidiary of the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) has issued a power outage update for the Harare region.

In an update seen by Pindula News, ZETDC said there is a Mail Line fault which authorities are working on in the areas listed below. The power outage update issued on March 5, 2023, said the areas affected are:

Chikurubi, Support Unit, Chishawasha, Donnybrook, Mandara, Greendale, Part of Chisipite, Part of Highlands, Gletwin, Part of Msasa Industrial Area, Msasa GMB, TM Pick and Pay, Greendale Part of Greendale, Letombo Park, Coronation Avenue, Cecil Road, Athlone Road, Amby Drive and the surrounding areas.

Added the company:

Customers are advised to treat all circuits as LIVE during this period as power may be restored without notice. Our teams are working to ensure full restoration of service in the shortest possible time.

In another update, ZETDC also said the power outage experienced in Gunhill, Harare and the surrounding areas yesterday the 4th of March 2023 was a result of a cable fault in the area. Said ZETDC:

Our teams are working to ensure full rests in the shortest possible time. Customers are advised to treat all circuits as LIVE during this period as power may be restored without notice.
