CAPS United Football Club, will know the identity of their CAF Champions League mini league opponents on Wednesday 26 April 2017, when CAF holds a draw for the competition’s group phase.
Lloyd Chitembwe’s men are one of the 16 African clubs that will make up the four groups of four after Wednesday’s draw together with former African Champions Al Ahly, Mamelodi Sundowns, Esperance, Coton Sport Garoua and AS Vita – among others. In a statement released on Thursday afternoon CAF said:
The draws for the 16 qualified teams for the group phases of Total CAF Champions League 2017 and the Total CAF Confederation Cup 2017 will take place on Wednesday, 26 April 2017 at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt at 14H00 local time (12H00 GMT).
