After First Lady Grace Mugabe challenged the President to name his successor so that Zanu-PF could rally behind him, members of the Zimbabwe Liberation War Veterans Associations (ZNLWVA) held a press conference in which they said Zimbabwe is not a dynasty. The war veterans said that they did not go to war to be ruled by one family. Victor Matemadanda said that Mugabe could not choose his successor as Zimbabwe was not a dynasty.
