Briefing the media after Zanu-PF’s politburo meeting held today at the party’s headquarters, Simon Khaya Moyo said that the current politburo will continue until 2019.
Khaya Moyo also said that the party’s Secretary for Finance, who is also Acting Secretary for Administration Dr Obert Mpofu, briefed the politburo on the preparations for the Zanu PF extra-ordinary congress. Mpofu told the politburo that the Communist Party of China and almost all liberation movements in the sub region have accepted invitations to attend the congress.
Khaya Moyo also said the Central Committee meeting will be held tomorrow at the party headquarters in Harare and members are expected to be seated by 10 am.
