Mugabe, Grace Start Removing Property From State House

The Mugabes have started moving their belongings from Zimbabwe House. This follows reports that former president Robert Mugabe and his wife Grace Mugabe are refusing to remove their belongings from the State House which has caused President Emmerson Mnangagwa to delay moving into the official residence of the president.

While moving on Tuesday, the Mugabes are said to have discovered that 119 laptops and seven desktop computers from locked containers at the Polo Grounds adjacent to Zimbabwe House were missing. A source who spoke to NewsDay said the people who stole the laptops used bolt cutters to break into the containers. Former First Lady Grace Mugabe is said to have made a police report on Tuesday. NewsDay could not get hold of Police spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba for a comment on the issue while Grace’s lawyer, Walter Chivore of Chivore and Partners law firm confirmed that the former First Lady had filed a police report.
