Knowledge Musona’s unexpected arrival to the Warriors camp for the crunch AFCON qualifier against Congo is a morale booster for his teammates.

Musona’s Belgian club, KSC Lokeren, revealed that he got injured during training and was not expected to be fit in time for the Congo match.

After arriving in the country on Tuesday, the Warriors captain said that the pain in his groin had subsided and he expected to play a part in the match set for Sunday (3 pm) at the National Sports Stadium.

Warriors based in South Africa have all arrived for the tie. These are the Orlando Pirates duo of Kudakwashe Mahachi and Marshall Munetsi.

Other players include goalkeeper George Chigova (Polokwane City)‚ defenders Teenage Hadebe (Chiefs)‚ Divine Lunga (Lamontville Golden Arrows)‚ Roland Pfumbidzai (Bloemfontein Celtic)‚ midfielder Danny Phiri (Arrows) and strikers Knox Mutizwa (Arrows) and Evans Rusike (SuperSport United).

Ovidy Karuru‚ Butholezwe Ncube and Talent Chawapiwa all play for Durban-based Amazulu FC.
