"I Was Confronted By Cops With AK-47 Rifles" ZANU PF Youth League Boss

ZANU PF Youth League deputy Secretary, Lewis Matutu has dismissed reports suggesting that he assaulted a police officer in Zvishavane last Friday as he tried to smuggle himself into a bar where Selmor Mtukudzi was performing.

Speaking after his show with Larry Kwirirayi, Matutu says he was actually confronted by police officers carrying AK 47 rifles after he had questioned their source of money.

When Matutu was released by police on Saturday morning, he claimed on Twitter that the deputy minister of Industry and Commerce, Rajeshkumar Indukant Modi, was the one paying the police to cover up his deeds.

Matutu claimed that Modi was charging his commodities in US dollars, which is against the laws of Zimbabwe, claims which Modi dismissed saying he had no business interests in Zvishavane.
