Zimbabwean international midfielder Marvelous Nakamba has sent a message to Aston Villa fans following his heroic performance in the 1-2 loss to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final played at Wembley on Sunday evening.
The Warriors midfielder wrote Instragam:
Coming together is the beginning, staying together is the process, working hard is the success. Not the result we wanted but we will keep on fighting and thank you to the Aston Villa fans, you have been amazing as always.
While some soccer pundits predicted a heavy defeat for Villa, the Dean Smith-coached side fought with valour despite eventually going down 2-1.
