Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 23 February 2022:
• 609 New Cases (All local) and 0 Deaths reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases raises to 339 from 302 (yesterday). 175 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in Mat North (94), Masvingo (67), Manicaland (41) and Mash West (7)
• Vaccination Update: 3 070 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 343 700, 4 534 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 377 702 while 3 385 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3 rd. dose to 108 955.
• As of 22 February 2022, 01500hrs there were (47) hospitalised cases: New Admissions (7), Asymptomatic (15), mild to moderate (26), severe (5) and (1) in Intensive Care Units.
• 5 930 tests done today (Positivity today was 13 %)
• 90 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go up 3 968
• As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 234 589 Cases 225 233 recoveries & 5 388 Deaths.
