Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 07 May 2022:
55 New Cases (All local) and 3 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average for new cases rises to 56 from 53 (yesterday).
Vaccination Update: 11 812 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 906 170, 49 793 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 826 282 while 5 470 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 634 085.
As of 06 May 2022, @1500hrs there were (30) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (7), Asymptomatic (1), mild to moderate (23), severe (3) and (3) in Intensive Care Units. 13 of the 30 hospitalized were vaccinated and 17 were not vaccinated.
1 191 tests done today (Positivity today was 3.1%).
32 new recoveries: National Recovery Rate remains at 98% & Active cases rise to 785.
As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 248 269 Cases 242 008 recoveries & 5 473 Deaths.
