Muchaneta lead actress narrates robbery

Kessia Masona, the lead actress on ZBC-TV’s comedy titled Muchaneta, was mugged by robbers in Cranborne, Harare last week.

Narrating the incident to The Daily News, Masona said:

I was coming from the Women’s University in Africa (Wua). It happened along FitzJohn Crescent in Cranborne. I lost my handbag that contained my national identity card, student identity card, memory stick and $12. They also wanted my mobile phone but I managed to out-wrestle them despite the fact that they had sprayed me some substance which made my eyes feel so painful. The incident made me so depressed that I couldn’t even muster the energy to go to the police to report.
