Two daring thieves appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Adelaide Mbeure on theft charges.
The duo identified as Emmanuel Luwe and Sbangani Ndlovu allegedly stole goods valued at $4 000 last month at around 3 AM. The stolen goods were mainly groceries that included milk, sugar, salt and rice.
They reportedly ransacked a Greens Supermarket van that had broken down in Mzilikazi suburb. The driver and security guards were asleep. State prosecutor Mufaro Mageza said
On November 20 this year a driver from Greens Supermarket had a breakdown while driving their truck at corner Masotsha Ndlovu and Old Victoria Falls road. The next day at around 3 AM, Luwe and Ndlovu allegedly stole the groceries.
Meanwhile, the two pleaded not guilty and were granted $50 bail each. They will be back in court for trial on January 14 2019.
