ZIFA Invites Applications For Warriors Top Job

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has advertised a vacancy for the Warriors Head Coach post.

The post fell vacant following the expiry of Joseph Antipas’s tenure, who was appointed as interim coach after the sudden resignation of Sunday Chidzambga earlier this year. In a statement on its website, the Association said:

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) is the governing body of football in Zimbabwe. It is a legal entity registered in terms of the Sports and Recreation Commission Act. It is affiliated to Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA), Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA). The Association seeks to recruit suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position [of Head Coach – Senior Men’ Team].

Reports suggest that ZIFA is open to recruiting a foreign coach for the Warriors top job.

ZIFA president Felton Kamambo was recently quoted as saying that if Antipas were to apply for the job, he will have a greater advantage over other applicants.
