UN And AU Top Officials In The Country For The Africa Regional Forum On Sustainable Development

Top AU and UN officials are in the country for the African Regional Forum On Sustainable Development, Sunday news reports.
The top officials are:
- United Nations deputy Secretary-General Ms Amina Mohamed,
- UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) Ms Vera Songwe
- African Union deputy chairperson Ambassador Kwesi Quartey
The delegates were welcomed by Zimbabwe Ambassador to the UN, Ambassador Frederick Shava and UN resident co-ordinator Ms Maria Ribeiro.
Ms Songwe who visited the Hwange National Park praised the park and said:
I notice the park is a huge area that you cover with little resources and using ground water. It’s nice to see the opportunities for investment and we will see how we can come in

The president will officially open the 3-day summit on Tuesday.
