ZIFA Councillor Engages "Black Elisha" To Evade Suspension
One of the 23 Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) councillors who are facing possible suspension over allegations of accepting inducements has reportedly turned to prophet Black Elisha for help in a bid to save his skin.
The Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) accuses the 23 ZIFA councillors of accepting inducements from aspiring candidates in the association’s 2018 elections.
SRC acting director-general Sebastian Garikai said the councillors confessed to accepting money from some of the candidates, including suspended ZIFA president Felton Kamambo.
The councillors were given up to Friday, 24 December to show cause why they should not be suspended.
B-Metro reported a source as saying when the ZIFA official (name withheld) received the news of the impending suspension, he became anxious and approached self-styled prophet, Black Elisha, for divine help. Said the source:

The story which appeared in the Chronicle shocked him and as such he approached prophet Black Elisha and sought divine help.
He told him (Black Elisha) that things are not well in his life and the situation is worsened by the suspension by SRC.
He also said the suspension has the potential of tainting his reputation and that will affect his football and business interests.
Black Elisha is known for the “spiritual padlock” which when used by spouses, reportedly helps them prevent their partners from cheating.
The ZIFA official was reportedly given the so-called holy spear by Black Elisha for divine protection.
Contacted for comment by B-Metro, the ZIFA official admitted to visiting Black Elisha but refused to reveal why he had visited the spiritualist. He said:
I visited him (Black Elisha) and I cannot divulge the reason behind my visit because it’s something personal and confidential after all I’m not the only one who visits him.
Black Elisha refused to disclose the identity of the ZIFA official citing client confidentiality. He said:
My brother I help a lot of people from ordinary people to respected figures in sports, politics and businesspeople. About a ZIFA official, I can neither confirm nor deny because I have a right to protect my clients.
