Rival Zanu-PF youth groups fight each other in Kwekwe
Speaking to NewsDay, Zanu-PF Midlands provincial spokesperson, Cornelius Mupereri confirmed that youth allegedly aligned to former party official, Kandros Mugabe disrupted a Presidential youth interface rally planning meeting.
Said Mupereri:
Mugabe hired his thugs and bused them to the party offices, where they tried to disrupt a meeting, which the party leadership was using to update supporters on biometric voter registration and the interface rally. Nobody was beaten up, but there was chaos and a standoff.
FeedbackDespite Mupereri’s claim that nobody was beaten, sources who spoke on condition of anonymity said that the youth were throwing stones at each other, while others exchanged fists as violence erupted.
