Breaking: Mliswa Accuses "Third Hand" For Looting At Kasukuwere's House
Local Government Minister Saviour Kasukuwere’s house is reported to have been looted by as yet unidentified people. Kasukuwere is yet to appear in public ever since the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) launched “Operation Restore Legacy” in which the military seized power and arrested several ministers who allegedly belonged to the G40 Faction. The ministers were accused of corruption and criminal activities which resulted in the suffering of many Zimbabweans. Kasukuwere is reported to be one of the ministers who was arrested and detained.
Independent legislator for Norton, Temba Mliswa slammed the looters and called for them to be brought to justice. He denounced the looting saying that it was the work of a “third hand” which wanted to spoil president-designate, Emmerson Mnangagwa’s name before he was inaugurated. Speaking on microblogging site, Twitter, Mliswa said:
I have heard some very disturbing news where people are LOOTING property from Minister Kasukuwere’s residents! This is foul play from a third hand, those who have done this must be brought to book. What kind of a culture are we inheriting
FeedbackWe must preserve the rule of law and the founding principles. If Minister Kasukuwere was wrong in any way, allow the courts to lead and allow the law to take its course
There is no need to be emotional and to be hell-bent on retribution. These are still ministers. The culprits of the looting must be brought to book. They want to soil the name of the incoming President. Why would they do such a callous act a day before the inauguration? It is unacceptable and it must be condemned with absolute contempt
