Heads Will Roll After Elections, I Will Not Tolerate Corruption, Poor Work Ethic: Mnangagwa
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has declared that he will change his cabinet after the upcoming 2018 elections. The president told Zimbabweans resident in Qatar that he will not tolerate corruption as well as poor work ethic in the new dispensation. Said Mnangagwa,
I have no doubt that soon after elections that are coming in July, many heads will roll, not among you, we now emphasise on productivity, professionalism, hard work, honest work, that is the mantra. Our work ethic is changing, I used to arrive at work earlier than my directors, now I find them there. Even the ministers have change.
My administration is not going to tolerate any form of corruption at any level.T o do this, we need the support of other institutions: the police, judiciary, the anti-corruption commission and the National Prosecuting Authority, we are in the process of making them pull in one direction.
FeedbackCritics have accused Mnangagwa of paying lip service to corruption, arguing that his administration has not pursued criminal cases against any ministers who are associated with his faction.
