Zanu-PF Youths Exchange Blows Over T-Shirts At Peace March
Youths from the ruling Zanu-PF are reported to have exchanged blows and fought for party T-shirts at the Peace March which was held today. The march was in response to the MDC Alliance’s March for Electoral Reforms held yesterday. Speaking to 263Chat, Harare Youth Provincial Chairman, Godwin Gomwe
Yes, we noticed that there were fights over t-shirts. The truth is we did not bring enough for everyone. we only got 15 000 t-shirts as the youth league and we have been dishing them out not only here but at some events as well. So we understand why there were fights, its because everyone wants to be associated with the Zanu-PF brand which gives us courage ahead of the elections…We wanted to bring peace awareness to every citizen, regardless of their political affiliation. we are saying we need to unite as a nation and exercise restraint ahead of the elections. We want peace, tolerance and unity from all citizens. That is why we held this peaceful march
