Mpofu Praises Political Parties For Staging Peaceful Demonstrations

Speaking at Zanu-PF headquarters in Harare yesterday after a meeting with the National Association of Non-Governmental Organisations (NANGO), Home Affairs and Culture Minister Obert Mpofu said Government is impressed that parties are demonstrating peacefully.

Said Mpofu:

Parties are demonstrating peacefully which is commendable. Political parties have been talking about peace, orderliness and that is what we are preaching to our members in Zanu-PF to conduct themselves in a diligent and non-violent manner when they pursue their political programme. We are really impressed by the manner parties are conducting themselves towards the elections and we plead with the political leadership and those mobilising membership to continue the spirit of peacefulness.
