Hundreds Of Teachers Threatened Countrywide Over Ongoing Strike - Majongwe
Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (PTUZ) secretary general Raymond Majongwe bemoaned the harassment of teachers in different schools across the country.
Teachers have been on strike since the 5th of February and there have been reported threats of intimidation from state agents, Ministry of Education officials as well as party functionaries.
Writing on social media on Friday morning, Majongwe said;
I have hundreds of teachers raising issues of threats from the system. Once again our issues are labour based. Nothing political. Teachers are being threatened and bullied out there. It’s so unfair.
