Taxi Driver Hangs Self After Running Over Police Officer

A taxi driver based in Gwanda took his own life after he knocked down and killed a police officer in a hit and run incident.
The taxi driver, Nqobile Nkomo (26) of Phakama Suburb, was driving a Fun Cargo when he ran over Constable Blackson Muzamba who was stationed in Gwanda on Friday last week at around 8 PM near Cinderella B Mine in Gwanda and fled from the scene.
Muzamba was referred to Gwanda Provincial Hospital where he died on Sunday.
Nkomo, who had been reported missing, was found hanging from a tree on Tuesday at around 9 AM close to the scene of the accident.
