"Chamisa Promised You Bullet Trains & You Pushed For Live Bullets"
Newly appointed MDC secretary for Education, Fadzayi Mahere, has reminded party leader Nelson Chamisa’s critics of his “fantastic” electoral promises and where the country is now at. She said:
I’ll never forget how Chamisa was trolled for dreaming of having a bullet train and spaghetti roads for Zim in the last election. He’s immature, they said.
They pushed for the guy wielding bullets and here we are – directionless with a dying economy, no fuel and no electricity.
FeedbackChamisa made electoral promises in the run-up to the 2018 general elections which were derided in some quarters as farfetched and unattainable.
However, the ZANU PF candidate, Emmerson Mnangagwa, went on to win the election with the Constitutional Court having to validate the victory.
Meanwhile, the United States of America has demanded that President Mnangagwa bring to account soldiers who shot and killed protestors in central Harare on August 1 last year.
Writing on blogging site Twitter after meeting President Mnangagwa in Mozambique, US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Tibor Nagy on Wednesday said:
I met President Mnangagwa today (Wednesday) I stressed the urgent need to hold security forces for acts of violence against Zimbabweans including August 2018 and January/February 2019 and the importance of real economic and political reforms.
