Mthuli Ncube Announces New Director General For ZIMSTAT

Finance Minister, Mthuli Ncube, announced a number of new appointments to government agents today, among them Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZIMSTAT) which is in charge of producing the country’s statistics. The new Director-General for ZIMSTAT will be Taguma Mahonde.

Before the appointment, Mahonde is a career bureaucrat who, before this appointment was Principal Director in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (Ncube’s ministry).

He has also held positions in the Ministry of Macro-Economic Planning and Investment Promotion.
