Biti Condemns Police For Double Standards
MDC vice president, Tendai Biti has condemned the Zimbabwe Republic Police for its seeming double standards.
Biti said that police told the High Court that they did not have enough manpower to monitor the MDC’s march, yet they have enough police officers to cordon off Harare. Biti used Twitter to express his anger:
In court, the police said they didn’t have enough manpower to monitor & assist the # FreeZimbabweMarch, yet they have enough manpower to cordon off all of Harare and to prevent anyone from entering Harare. This is a fascist regime.
