Traditional Leaders Across Zimbabwe Rally Behind Chief Ndiweni
Ntabazinduna traditional leader, Chief Felix Nhlanhlayamangwe Ndiweni said that his arrest following a ruling that he handed down at his court is an attack on the institution of traditional leaders.
The chief revealed that he received a lot of support from traditional leaders across the country. He said:
I extend my thanks to my chiefs, my chiefs came on board very strongly, they came to visit me while I was in incarceration.
FeedbackChief after chief from Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South and Midlands and even from further afield up north, that’s Mashonaland East, North and Central.
It was a whole response and one word that the chiefs brought and gave me comfort is, they said chief Ndiweni, this is not an attack on you, but an attack on the institution of traditional leaders.

I want to extend my thanks as well to the inmates at the prison and the prison guards services, they kept me well, they did the best they could under the very, very difficult situations.
I cannot fault them for everything that they are doing. They brought me in, they looked after me, and they did the best with risky meagre resources.
