ZANU PF Youths Want 40% Of Command Farming Equipment
The ZANU PF Youth League has demanded 40 per cent of the farming implements availed under the controversial government bank-rolled Command Agriculture programme.
Deputy secretary Lewis Matutu took to the microblogging site, Twitter, to express the wing’s demands. He wrote:
We are demanding 40% of the mechanisation equipment that will be allocated to farmers by the government.

In his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Tuesday, President Emmerson Mnangagwa revealed that ZWL$1, 8 billion and US$51 million will be added to the scheme for the upcoming summer cropping season.
Reports claim that US$3 billion set aside for the programme from 2017 to 2019 could not be accounted for by Treasury officials.
