ED's Cabinet Ministers Tend Lie - Gumbo
The Minister of State for Presidential Affairs and Monitoring of Government Projects, Joram Gumbo, on Friday, accused some cabinet ministers of lying to President Emmerson Mnangagwa by reporting on things they wouldn’t have done.
Gumbo made the remarks while touring a cattle fence constructed along the Beitbridge-Bulawayo Highway to curb livestock-induced road traffic accidents. He said:
Some ministers do not tell the truth when they are reporting to the President and it is my role to monitor their work.
FeedbackI have been touring government projects in Matabeleland to see if the reports we receive are factual.
Gumbo, who served as both Transport and Energy and Power Development minister during and after the late former President Robert Mugabe’s tenure, said reshuffling of cabinet ministers derails government projects.
