ZIFA Invited To Submit 'British Brigade' Passport Applications
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) is not anxious over the issue of passports for footballers based in the United Kingdom who are eligible to play for the Warriors.
Warriors manager, Wellington Mpandare, told The Herald that ZIFA, through the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation, has written to the Registrar-General’s Office seeking assistance. He said:
We have written to the Registrar-General’s Office, with the assistance of Minister Kirsty Coventry.
FeedbackWe went there on Monday and were told that we can only start submitting the papers from November 4, two per each day.
Mpandare also revealed that the only challenge ZIFA could face is on Macauley Bonne and Adam Chicksen who need to have birth certificates first since they were not born in Zimbabwe.
