FULL TEXT: Govt Initiates "Urgent Process" Of Reviewing "Councillors' Allowances And Perks"

The central government has through the ministry of Local Government initiated an urgent process of reviewing councillors’ allowances. Writing to all Mayors and Chairpersons of Local Authorities, the Ministry said that the process was triggered by the “uneven economic situation” in the country. We present the letter in full below.
