High Legal Costs Will Make Acess To Justice For Women Difficult - Misihairabwi Mushonga

Legislator and activist Priscillah Misihairabwi Mushonga has said high legal cost will make access to justice difficult for women as they have been always a victim of such due to many factors.

Misihairabwi Mushonga was commenting on the new legal fees announced by the Law Society of Zimbabwe when she said:

Access to justice has always been difficult for women due to an interplay of many issues.However, with the new legal costs coming in, it means that these divorce costs are putting a cost to freedom. High fees that hinder people from accessing them are actually a direct violation of human rights to freedom, justice and equal treatment

The Law Society of Zimbabwe last week announced new legal fees and divorce both uncontested and contested was pegged between $12000 and $18000
