RBZ Moves To Sell House Belonging To ZACC Boss
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe is reportedly trying to sell the house which belongs to the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption (ZACC)’s general manager Sukai Tongogara which she insists is one of her benefits from the central bank.
Tongogara has since approached the High Court asking it to add a caution on her Alexandra house. In her court papers, the ZACC boss said:
I am employed by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission as a general manager and have been employed in that capacity since 2006.
FeedbackIn 2009, I benefited a motor vehicle and immovable property under the RBZ’s capacity enhancement and skills retention scheme wherein the RBZ was capacitating ZACC and assisting the Commission to retain its employees.
She added that in 2009, the RBZ told her that the property would be registered in the name of a shelf company in compliance with policy but she was allowed to change the property ownership once she got the title deeds.
